Head of Marketing

Creator+ was formed in early 2021 by founders who have a long history in online video, and working with talented storytellers around the world to bring their passion projects to life. We are building a new film studio and streaming platform to provide creators an avenue for their stories that are best told through feature films. Creator+ recognizes today’s top creators are digital natives who have a keen understanding of how to acquire, retain and convert audiences with little to no paid marketing. What drives the creator’s fan base is the creator’s gift for storytelling.

The Head of Marketing is a key member of the company’s leadership team. They will oversee the strategy and execution of marketing programs for the company, its streaming platform, and each of the films it brings to market. This is a unique opportunity to drive a brand that is aiming to be at the forefront of the evolution of storytelling. We are looking for a rare blend of a savvy growth marketer who has direct-to-consumer marketing experience and excels in a startup & small company environment.

This position reports to the CEO. Our offices are in L.A and SF Bay Area. We are remote-friendly.

Required experience and background:

— 10+ years in consumer marketing, including several years in startup environments
— Experience managing the strategy and execution of brand and performance marketing
— Experience building and managing high performing teams BA/BS degree

Preferred qualifications:

Consumer marketing expertise in entertainment, film, and/or gaming, ideally:
— Driving growth, customer acquisition, data-driven paid marketing spend
— Executing on company brand and specific title (film/game) campaigns simultaneously
— Management of in-house and external PR, communications, social media
— Defining user personas, overseeing user research, translating feedback into action
— Brand partnerships, sponsorships
— Working directly with talent/creators and their representation to partner on campaigns

Proven success in startup and small company environments:
— Can-do positive attitude, prone towards action and decisiveness, collaborative
— Willing to roll up sleeves and lead by example, starting with an initial team of 3-5 that is poised to grow rapidly
— Excellent leadership, strategic, and communication skills
— Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills from high level to details, with impeccable follow-through

Marketing leadership skills:
— Proven ability to drive audience anticipation and engagement
— Insatiable appetite for customer input and feedback
— Strong quantitative skills and data analysis
— Collaborative instincts to work closely with Content, Product, Tech, and Co-Founders
— Commitment to impact storytelling and to empowering diverse talent across the organization and throughout film projects

International experience:
— Launching / expanding across key growth regions, including cultural, language, and logistical execution and remote/distributed team management

About Creator+

Creator+ is a studio and distribution platform that produces feature-length films in partnership with digital creators and monetizes through their existing audience and beyond across mobile, web and connected-TV. Our Content Studio develops and pairs the right script/story, provides financing and builds a bespoke team and resources for each film. In addition to streaming feature films through a paygate, users will be able to shop related merchandise and engage with creators and their community.
